NWA Second Stage Transition is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to empowering individuals and families across Northwest Arkansas—including Siloam Springs, Fayetteville, Bentonville, and surrounding communities—to break free from cycles of abuse, addiction, and homelessness. The organization’s mission is to educate, empower, and provide safety and opportunities that support lasting personal transformation and balance. Guided by values of professionalism, integrity, inclusivity, and respect, NWA Second Stage Transition helps clients build confidence and self-sufficiency through counseling, assessments, and life-enrichment programs.
A key focus of their services is anger management, offering both assessments and structured classes designed to help individuals better understand and control their emotions. Court-approved anger management programs range from 4 to 32 hours and can be completed in person or online. These classes teach participants to manage anger effectively, prevent violent reactions, and improve self-control while fostering healthier relationships. Many clients are referred through courts, probation, or employers, but anyone seeking personal growth is welcome.
In addition to anger management, the organization provides domestic violence classes, parenting education, substance abuse counseling, mental health therapy, and life skills and financial literacy training. Clients receive individualized care from a team that includes licensed counselors, anger management specialists, and addiction professionals. Through support groups, educational programs, and community resource referrals, NWA Second Stage Transition helps individuals heal from trauma, develop resilience, and build hopeful, empowered futures.
