The TROY Center (Truly Reviving Our Youth) is dedicated to empowering young people in California’s Central Valley through mentorship, education, and essential life skills training. A key component of TROY’s approach includes life skills education that covers conflict resolution, communication, time management, and financial literacy—skills that help youth navigate challenges both in school and in life. By addressing issues like frustration and aggression through healthy coping and problem-solving strategies, TROY’s programs indirectly support anger management and emotional regulation, empowering youth to handle conflict in positive and constructive ways.
Their three-phase model—Reach Out, Lift Up, and Plug In—focuses on building trust, fostering growth, and connecting youth with opportunities that match their passions, whether through sports, leadership, coding, or trades. With over 3,600 volunteer hours, 200 hours of free tutoring, and a 40% reduction in disciplinary actions among participating students, TROY has made a measurable impact on its community.
