Lessonz Learned is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization devoted to empowering justice-impacted individuals, transitional-aged youth, and underserved communities through education, mentorship, and healing. Founded by Terrall E. Tillman, an accomplished author, speaker, and certified Adversity and Corrections Coach, the organization draws on decades of lived experience and professional expertise to help individuals overcome adversity and rebuild meaningful, productive lives. Their programs focus on prevention, intervention, and reentry, helping participants navigate life after incarceration while addressing emotional, behavioral, and social challenges.

A major part of their work includes anger management and emotional regulation programs—offered in both group and individual formats—that help participants identify triggers, manage conflict, and develop self-control. These evidence-informed classes complement Lessonz Learned’s broader curriculum in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), life skills, leadership, and job readiness, forming a holistic approach to personal growth and accountability.

The organization also provides reentry staff training, equipping service providers and agencies with cultural awareness, trauma-informed practices, and ethical approaches that improve client outcomes.
