Westside Community Services

Westside Community Services is dedicated to improving the well-being of adults in San Francisco through comprehensive outpatient and community-based programs. Their Adult Outpatient Program provides individualized mental health care with an emphasis on case management and harm reduction. A cornerstone of their commitment to violence prevention and behavioral change is the No Violence Alliance (NoVA) program. This initiative directly addresses the cycle of violence in high-crime areas such as Bayview–Hunter’s Point, the Western Addition, and the Mission District. NoVA offers intensive support to individuals with histories of violent behavior—helping them confront anger, develop self-control, and build healthier coping skills. Through counseling, rehabilitation, and reentry assistance, participants learn to manage anger effectively, break destructive patterns, and reintegrate into society as positive, contributing members.
