COPE Family Support Center

COPE Family Support is a trusted community organization dedicated to helping families build healthier, more positive relationships through evidence-based programs and counseling services. Each year, COPE serves more than 3,000 youth, parents, and families across the Bay Area through its holistic, family-centered approach to emotional well-being, safety, and stability. One of its core offerings is its Court-Approved Anger Management Program, taught by certified specialists who help participants recognize and manage anger in constructive ways. Whether court-ordered, self-referred, or recommended by a school, participants gain practical skills to understand the root causes of their anger, communicate effectively, and restore harmony at home.

Recognized and approved by more than 20 courts—including Contra Costa, Alameda, San Francisco, and Santa Clara—COPE’s anger management classes fulfill legal requirements while also empowering individuals to make meaningful personal changes. The program is based on the National Anger Management Association Specialist Certification standards, ensuring that instruction meets the highest professional level. Participants learn to transform anger from a destructive force into a tool for positive change, allowing them to set healthy boundaries and strengthen family bonds.

Beyond anger management, COPE also offers the Triple P Positive Parenting Program®, specialized fatherhood classes, youth development programs, and individual, couples, and family therapy. With upcoming offerings in Spanish, COPE continues to expand its reach to serve diverse communities. Through compassionate guidance and evidence-based practices, COPE Family Support helps families not only manage conflict but thrive together in understanding, connection, and lasting emotional health.
