FamilyCore has been serving the Peoria community for more than 125 years, empowering individuals and families through counseling, education, and support services that strengthen the foundation of family life. Formerly known as Counseling & Family Services, FamilyCore works closely with schools, courts, and social service agencies to provide a continuum of care designed to promote emotional wellness and family stability. Their licensed clinicians are trained to help individuals of all ages manage life’s challenges—including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, and anger management.

The organization places a strong emphasis on helping clients recognize and regulate emotions such as anger in healthy, constructive ways. Through evidence-based anger management counseling, participants learn tools to control impulsive reactions, communicate more effectively, and reduce the impact of stress on their relationships and overall well-being. Services are available for individuals, couples, families, and groups, both in person and through telehealth.

Beyond counseling, FamilyCore offers comprehensive programs in adoption, foster care, outreach for at-risk youth, and support for single parents. Each service reflects their holistic approach—addressing the needs of multiple generations to help families thrive. With a dedicated team of more than 90 professionals and support from the community, FamilyCore continues its long tradition of building stronger, healthier families. They accept most insurance plans, including Medicaid, and offer a sliding fee scale to ensure access for everyone.
