Adanta provides compassionate and comprehensive behavioral health services to individuals and families across South Central Kentucky, including Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, McCreary, Pulaski, Russell, Taylor, and Wayne counties. Established in 1967, Adanta has grown from a small office in Pulaski County into one of the state’s leading community mental health centers, now also offering outpatient services in Barren County. The agency is dedicated to addressing a wide range of needs related to mental health, substance use, and developmental or intellectual disabilities through evidence-based, person-centered care.

With a team of more than 250 professionals—including licensed therapists, prescribers, and support staff—Adanta serves approximately 5,000 active clients at any given time. Services are accessible through Medicaid, Medicare, commercial insurance, or self-pay, and the organization also partners with the Kentucky Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities.

Among its diverse therapeutic and counseling programs, Adanta offers anger management services designed to help individuals better understand and regulate their emotions, improve relationships, and reduce conflict in their personal and professional lives. Clients learn effective coping strategies and communication skills that promote long-term emotional balance and self-control.
