David Preston, SWLC, ACLC, CAMS II, provides professional counseling and anger management services in Kalispell, Montana, with a focus on helping clients heal from trauma, anxiety, addiction, depression, and post-traumatic stress. As a Clinical Social Worker Licensure Candidate and Licensed Addiction Counselor Candidate, David combines advanced training with personal experience as a veteran, business professional, and counselor to create a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment where clients can truly be heard. His practice centers on the belief that everyone deserves to feel valued, understood, and accepted while working through life’s most difficult moments.

David specializes in court-ordered anger management, offering evidence-based approaches to help individuals recognize emotional triggers, manage stress, and develop healthier responses to conflict. His treatment integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) to create customized plans for each client’s goals. Certified in Anger Management and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), he helps clients address both surface-level behaviors and deeper emotional wounds caused by trauma or unresolved experiences.

Through his practice, “Kalispell Listens,” David works with individuals, families, veterans, and military members to promote healing and personal growth. His compassionate and direct approach encourages clients to confront pain, build resilience, and achieve real progress. Whether overcoming trauma or learning to manage anger more constructively, David’s mission is to help clients regain control, find peace, and create lasting change in their lives.
