As a regional leader in health and education, REACH CNY provides a variety of initiatives that support women, infants, and families, including breastfeeding support groups, parenting education, and family life skills programs.

A key component of REACH CNY’s offerings is its Family Life Skills parenting program, which utilizes the evidence-based Active Parenting curriculum. This program helps parents and caregivers build stronger relationships with their children while developing essential life and communication skills. Participants learn effective strategies for anger management, stress reduction, setting healthy boundaries, and fostering positive family interactions. By teaching proactive discipline, assertive communication, and self-esteem building, the program empowers parents to navigate challenges with patience and confidence, especially during times of transition or conflict.

The Family Life Skills program is open to all parents, including those referred by courts or community agencies, and is available both in-person and virtually to accommodate varying schedules.
