Chaplain Otto Ministries is a combat veteran–led nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, restoring, and supporting fellow veterans who have struggled with the lasting effects of life’s battles. Founded and guided by an Army infantry veteran, the ministry is built on firsthand understanding of the challenges many veterans face after service, including incarceration, trauma, substance use, overwhelming anger, and feelings of hopelessness. With compassion at its core, the organization works to meet veterans where they are and help them rediscover purpose, accountability, and hope.

Through its Prison Ministry and Veteran Outreach efforts, Chaplain Otto Ministries serves incarcerated and formerly incarcerated veterans across the United States. These programs provide faith-based guidance, mentorship, and practical tools for personal growth, with a strong emphasis on addressing anger and emotional regulation. Veterans are encouraged to confront unresolved anger linked to PTSD, past experiences, and life stressors, and to develop healthier coping strategies that support long-term change. By focusing on personal responsibility, reflection, and healing, the ministry helps participants move away from destructive patterns and toward restoration.

A key initiative, Behind the Wire, extends this mission digitally into correctional facilities nationwide, allowing incarcerated individuals to engage in faith-centered learning, prayer, and personal development. Alongside in-person prison visits, this program expands access to support for veterans who may otherwise feel forgotten or isolated. Officially established in 2023, Chaplain Otto Ministries continues to grow its reach while remaining grounded in service, humility, and commitment to transformation. Its work reflects a clear belief that no veteran is beyond redemption and that with guidance, accountability, and focused support—especially in managing anger and emotional pain—lasting change is possible.
