The Warren County Educational Service Center provides comprehensive school-based mental health services designed to support students, families, and school communities through a holistic, lifespan-focused approach. Working in close collaboration with local school districts and community partners, the Center delivers accessible, high-quality services that address the social, emotional, behavioral, and environmental factors that can interfere with academic success and overall well-being. Services are provided within natural settings such as schools and families, allowing students to receive support without unnecessary disruption to their education while fostering strong collaboration with educators and administrators.
A core focus of the program is helping students build practical coping strategies, including anger management skills that promote emotional regulation, conflict resolution, and healthy communication. Through individualized, family, and group therapy, students learn to recognize emotional triggers, manage frustration, and develop constructive responses to stress and interpersonal challenges. These services are especially beneficial for youth experiencing emotional distress, anxiety, depression, trauma, attention difficulties, family transitions, or challenges adjusting to academic expectations.
The program also offers comprehensive diagnostic assessments to identify mental health needs and guide individualized treatment planning. In addition, consultation and education services support teachers, school staff, and community providers in understanding mental health concerns and implementing effective, evidence-based interventions. Community support services further connect families to resources that enhance stability, resilience, and quality of life.
Guided by a vision of equitable access and resilience-building, the Mental Health Services team is committed to creating safe, inclusive learning environments where students can grow emotionally, strengthen anger management and coping skills, and reach their full potential both in and beyond the classroom.
