Federation of Neighborhood Centers Inc (FNC Philly) is a long-standing community organization dedicated to strengthening neighborhoods and empowering residents across Philadelphia through collaboration, equity, and service. For decades, FNC Philly has served as a hub for grassroots leaders, organizers, and community builders who believe in the power of neighbors supporting one another to create meaningful change. A cornerstone of this work has been its fiscal sponsorship program, which has helped nurture community-driven initiatives that address critical social, economic, and educational needs throughout the city.
After careful reflection, financial review, and extensive conversations with partners, FNC Philly has announced the planned closure of its fiscal sponsorship program at the end of 2025. This decision reflects the organization’s commitment to integrity, sustainability, and the long-term wellbeing of both its partners and the communities it serves. During this transition, FNC Philly continues to work closely with sponsored projects to help them identify new organizational homes and move forward with stability and strength.
Beyond fiscal sponsorship, FNC Philly remains deeply invested in youth and family development through a range of impactful programs. These include youth leadership and service initiatives, parent empowerment programs that support healthy family dynamics and effective parenting skills, workforce readiness efforts for young people, sustainability education for high-achieving students, and year-round health and wellness activities focused on nutrition and life skills. Collectively, these programs reflect a holistic approach to community wellbeing that supports individuals, families, and neighborhoods at every stage.
While one chapter is coming to a close, FNC Philly’s mission endures. The organization continues to champion thriving, safer, and healthier communities where people grow, ideas flourish, and future generations are empowered to succeed.
