One of PLC’s primary efforts is foster care, where caring adults are empowered to become advocate, supporter, and mentor parents for children and teens who need safe, stable homes. PLC provides guidance and education to help prospective foster parents determine whether fostering is the right path for them, while emphasizing the importance of consistency, emotional safety, and positive role modeling. These efforts help children develop trust, stability, and healthier ways of managing stress and strong emotions—skills that are essential for long-term well-being and emotional regulation.

Beyond foster care, PLC encourages community involvement through volunteering and charitable investment.
