About ACES (AFFORDABLE COUNSELING & EDUCATION SERVICES)

Welcome to Affordable Counseling & Educational Services (A.C.E.S.), where we offer comprehensive programs aimed at intervention and education for individuals dealing with DWI (Driving While Intoxicated) offenses. Our DWI Intervention/Repeat Offender Program (DWI-I) is tailored specifically for repeat offenders, providing 32 hours of counseling delivered in 15 sessions, each lasting 2 hours, along with 2 individual sessions. This program covers a wide range of topics including lifestyle issues, values, self-esteem, positive thinking, responsibility, and the physiological and psychological effects of substance abuse. Additionally, it addresses the impact of drug abuse on family members, co-dependency, treatment options, peer pressure, relapse prevention, and problem-solving strategies.

For first-time offenders, our DWI Education/1st Offender Program (DWI-E) offers a condensed yet comprehensive curriculum spanning 12 hours delivered in 3 sessions of 4 hours each. This program focuses on increasing awareness about alcohol and drug use concerning driving skills, helping individuals identify their own drinking and drug use patterns in relation to driving, and assisting them in developing strategies to avoid future DWI incidents. Course topics include alcohol and drug-related traffic safety issues, Texas laws regarding DWI, the effects of alcohol and drugs on human behavior and driving abilities, symptoms of chemical dependency, available resources for assistance, the costs associated with DWI, and decision-making skills.

At A.C.E.S., we understand the importance of addressing DWI offenses promptly and effectively, which is why our programs are designed to provide participants with the necessary knowledge, skills, and support to overcome these challenges and make positive changes in their lives.
